Born in Taiwan during Japanese rule, my grandmother went by Yoshiko. Her husband, a young farmer, spent his days working in the pineapple fields where the sun that beat down on him. Under the Taiwanese sun, Yoshiko fought the heat with her recipes.

Yoshiko made the best use of the overripe pineapples and braised them to preservative nature fruit jam. She rose in the morning to prepare a large jar of thirst-quenching and heat-clearing pineapple water every day, and this tasty yet healthy drink allowed for her husband to tolerate the heat.

Taiwan is a beautiful and plentiful island that has fed many generations of children through thick and thin. The rarest quality of Taiwan is the down-to-earth nature of its people. Yi Fang's Fruit Tea not only inherited Yoshiko’s name and legacy, but also immortalized her recipes. Our teas are made with seasonal fruits, which brings out the sweetness of the fruits themselves and bringing back the classic, old-fashioned tastes of our childhoods.
